Dr. Pereira earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed his residency in Adult Psychiatry at Columbia University. He is currently in the final year of a two-year fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital’s joint program with Columbia University and Weill Cornell Medicine, where he serves as chief fellow.
Dr. Pereira is board-certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is on the faculty at the New York University Grossman School of Medicine, where he serves as a clinical instructor in psychiatry.
He has authored and contributed to academic journals and textbooks, focusing on autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental conditions. He has presented his work at international, national, and local conferences. As a clinician, he integrates academic expertise into practice to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care.
