Joseph Pereira, M.D., is a board-certified psychiatrist who completed his medical education at Harvard Medical School, followed by Adult Psychiatry Residency at Columbia University. He is in the final months of a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship through the joint program at Columbia and Cornell.
With his advanced training, he takes a collaborative and dynamic approach, meeting patients where they are and fostering supportive partnerships to help them achieve their therapeutic goals. Dr. Pereira values the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, and adults across all stages of life.
Dr. Pereira treats a range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, OCD, and ADHD. He has a specific interest in helping individuals in therapy understand and address patterns that no longer serve them. In addition to working with typically developing individuals, he has a longstanding commitment to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
Dr. Pereira is currently accepting adult patients and will begin accepting intakes for children and adolescents in July 2025.
